The second stop on the FIT Family Series is at the beautiful Tappan Lake Park. Triathletes will be treated to swim courses in the beautiful Tappan Lake. Duathletes will start off with a scenic run along the Cabin Beach Trail and Turkey Ridge Trails within the park. The bike courses are described as challenging rolling hills on mostly winding country roads surrounding the park. The final run is an out and back the starts off on the beautiful Cabin Beach Trail* and continues to the Turkey Ridge Trail* for a gradual downhill return to the finish.
* The Cabin Beach and Turkey Ridge Trail are well manicured 6-8-foot-wide trails with good running surfaces.

There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION — packet pickup ONLY
All finishers will receive a handsome finisher medal and the top three in each division will receive custom awards (including relay teams).
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner), each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. There are NO age groups in this division.

The Kidz Splash N Dash starts off with either a 150 meter (10 & under) or 300 meter (11-15) out and back swim in Tappan Lake, followed by a required transition into running shoes, then participants will take on either a 1k (10 & under) or a 2k (11-15) out and back run on the Cabin Beach trail alongside the lake.

The mini distance triathlon will start off with a 250 yard out and back swim (in waist deep water along the beach) in Tappan Lake, followed by a 7 mile out and back bike course through downtown Deersville and finishing with 2 mile out and back run on the Cabin Beach trail. Duathletes will start off with a 2 mile run.

The sprint distance triathlon features a 750 meter clockwise rectangle swim in Tappan Lake, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k on the Cabin Beach trail and the Turkey Ridge Trail, followed by an out & back 20k bike course through downtown Deersville and beautiful views of the neighboring Clendening Lake and finishing with an out & back 5k run within the park on Cabin Beach trail and a short section on Turkey Ridge Trail.

The Olympic distance triathlon features a 1500 meter 2-lap clockwise rectangle swim in Tappan Lake, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k on the Cabin Beach trail and the Turkey Ridge Trail, followed by a 38k bike loop course through downtown Deersville and beautiful views of the neighboring Clendening Lake and finishing with an out & back 2-lap 10k run within the park on Cabin Beach trail and a short section on Turkey Ridge Trail.
